FUNDRAISER AUCTION - WIN AN ORIGINAL SIGNED PAINTING OF JOE ROOT

The R66T Academy is proud to support this fundraising auction to raise money for Birmingham Children's Hospital and Grass Roots Cricket. We are auctioning off this wonderful original painting by award winning Artist Jay Connolly.

Jay’s amazing painting perfectly captures the moment Joe raises his bat to celebrate scoring a century in the opening test of the 2017 series vs South Africa at Lord’s. This was an historic moment as it was Joe’s first game as England Test captain.

Joe’s father and Root Academy founder, Matt said "Jay is a wonderful artist who has captured this moment perfectly. He paints for sporting celebrities all over the world and his work often sells for in excess of five figures. It really is a special piece".

Jay said "I feel privileged to have been asked to create “A Captain’s Century” as I am a big cricket fan and admirer of Joe. It is also an honour to be asked to help raise funds for such worthwhile causes."

Good Luck - R66T ACADEMY HQ

When the auction ends if you have been outbid but your bid sits in the six highest bids, you will be given the opportunity to transfer your offer to a limited edition print instead, again signed by Joe. Your bid will be discounted by 50%.

*Competition ends 10th December 2018

All funds raised will be shared between Birmingham Children's Hospital via Sister Dora's Explorers and The R66T Academy.

Sister Dora's Explorers recently cycled from Brighton to Walsall Manor Hospital in a day. That's a whopping 200 miles. They have raised just over £8,500 so far.

Richard Edge from Sister Dora's Explorers said, "A huge thank you to Jay and Joe for agreeing to support our fundraising. We can't thank them enough. We now have the funds in place to purchase an Acuvein machine for Walsall Manor Hospital Chemotherapy ward so money raised from the auction will go to Birmingham Children's Hospital."

Entrants must live in the UK. The painting is signed by Jay and will be signed by Joe on his return from Sri Lanka.
