Join The R66T Academy at S20 The Boundary for our five-week Batting Series
We are delighted to announce a new five-week Batting Series taking place at S20 The Boundary this winter.
This is aimed at experienced hardball cricketers - aged 10 to 14 - who are not currently in County age group training programmes, but who are ambitious and keen to develop their batting.
Undergo intense training with our experienced R66T Academy coaches over the five-week course and have an in-depth look at every aspect of your batting. You will be training at an exceptional facility at our national R66T Academy Training Hub.
You will be challenged using video analysis and players will work with R66T Academy Training Aids - such as the Ball Launcher, Reactor and Ball Feeder.
The series will run from 9th November to 7th December from 6pm to 8pm.
To get full benefit from the program, individuals participating in the five-week series should attend each of the 2-hour sessions (exceptions may apply).
At the first session, you will receive a R66T Academy T-Shirt. All players will receive a certificate at the end of the series.
£125
Price is for the five-week series.
The course will take place across a five-week period on these specific dates:
9th November
The first week is all about getting to know you! Our coaches will examine your batting and discuss your technique with you. We will create a strengths and weaknesses profile to work on and ensure that your basic set-up puts you in the right positions to both attack and defend.
16th November
Next, we will look at how you can score runs when the ball is turning and bouncing. Which shots will you deploy? How do you defend with fielders around the bat? What tactics should you be using?
23rd November
In the third week of the series, the focus will be on coping strategies for dealing with hostile pace bowling. The ball is swinging, but does your technique allow you to defend as well as score runs?
30th November
For the penultimate session, we will explore 360 degree batting and all the options you have at your disposal. Scoring runs all round the ground is part of the modern game and can't be ignored.
7th December
Finally, you will have an extended opportunity to bat against both spin and seam bowling, where you can put all the skills you have been practising together. Players will bat in pairs in conditioned net practices with scoring constraints and dismissals in place, as per real game situations.
We will also conduct a review session and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses profiles created in Week 1. CLICK HERE
