The R66T Academy have been working with SHAPE Learning since Autumn 2022 and we are incredibly proud to support them with their work. As a Chesterfield-based business, we are always keen to support local initiatives.
Through supporting physical education and sport in schools, the SHAPE Learning Partnership aims to improve the lives of all young people, whilst supporting families and communities to lead healthy and active lifestyles.

Cricket is one of the vehicles SHAPE uses to do this across its 57 member schools and we are proud to be one of their partners.

Throughout the winter months, SHAPE coaches support cricket programmes, before running a range of R66T academy branded cricket events in the summer - from primary school softball to secondary school competitions. SHAPE also actively uses R66T Academy products, such as the Feeder, Launcher and Reactor.

Discussing the partnership, Nick Gaywood, R66T Academy Project Manager, said: "Physical Education and sport are a vital part of any child's education. At the R66T Academy we believe that children should experience a wide and balanced range of physical activities as they grow up.

"The SHAPE Learning Partnership plays a key role in shaping the physical experience of children in around 60 primary and secondary schools in the Chesterfield region. To this end we are delighted to be working with them, and in particular to support the work that they are doing to encourage state school children to get into cricket."

Meanwhile, Paul Ryan, Partnership Development Manager at SHAPE Learning Partnership, added: "Our values align and it is an important part of our partnership work in the community to forge links with dynamic brands and organisations such as R66T Academy to help grow the game and support our local grassroots clubs.

"We are extremely pleased to be partners with R66T Academy and share in the vision to create more meaningful and positive experiences of cricket for young people."

The R66T Academy was in attendance at SHAPE Learning's Y5/6 Mixed & Girls Countdown Cricket Final at Queen's Park, Chesterfield on Wednesday 21st June. During the breaks between their games, children were able to use our coaching aids to practise their skills. The Feeder and Launcher were both incredibly popular amongst the pupils!
