Multi-use bowling machine
The R66T Academy Ball Launcher is, without a doubt, a multi-use bowling machine. While its primary purpose is to help players improve their batting skills, it is designed to support the development of fielders and wicket keepers, too.
Given you can adjust the speed of the machine, you can use it to work on different aspects of your game. For example, use the Ball Launcher for fielding practice, or get behind the stumps and work on your glove skills.
Smaller ball to sharpen your eye
The balls are smaller than senior and junior size balls. Why? Well, it’s simple. Train hard, play easy. If you can cut the ball away for 4 runs with a smaller ball, it should - in theory - be easier to replicate the shot on a gameday.
Our bowling machine also comes with 12 balls and a ball collection tube, making it easy to collect the balls after each respective training drill. Simply remove the tube from the machine, when the balls are scattered around on the floor, line the top of the tube over the ball and gently push the tube onto the ball to collect it. Repeat this process for the other balls - easy!
Chargeable battery and mains power
We understand how frustrating it is when your bowling machine runs out of battery when you’re out on the grass or working hard in the nets. With that in mind, then, our Ball Launcher breaks that mold. It has a chargeable battery that lasts for approximately four hours. "We love this! We’ve used this for a couple of months purely as a bowling machine which has provided an excellent training tool for my 10 and 12 year old who play a good level of club/district cricket. Provides a consistent delivery to allow them to work on their technique which they don’t get from bowling at each other. The pace is good and we’ve tended to use either a medium/fast setting (for some swing ) or fast/fast. The lower settings I guess can be used for other drills but we haven’t used them. "We didn't have a Junior Bowling Machine for our club. The launcher is a great entry level bowling machine, perfect for juniors but also to support skill development with more experienced players. It is easy to assemble and is not too heavy to carry from the store to the nets. The machine is well designed, the battery can be charged without a car battery. Outdoor use is sometimes affected by wind."
